David Haslop

Founder and CEO

David Haslop is the Founder and CEO of Web3 Australia Group, the parent company behind CryptoCon and MyMoney Expo. An entrepreneur with more than a decade of experience in digital assets, David has been at the forefront of the industry’s growth, working alongside many of the world’s leading exchanges, blockchain companies and fintech innovators. His vision has been to bridge emerging technologies with mainstream finance by creating trusted platforms where investors, businesses and industry leaders can connect, learn and grow.

Under his leadership, CryptoCon has become the largest crypto and digital assets event in the Southern Hemisphere, while MyMoney Expo reflects his broader mission of improving financial literacy across all asset classes. Outside of work, David enjoys travelling, jet skiing, skiing, and spending quality time with his family.

Kelly Haslop

Co-Founder and Conference Director

Kelly Haslop is the Co-Founder and Conference Director of Web3 Australia Group, where she leads the strategy and development of the conference programmes for CryptoCon and MyMoney Expo. Working with leading figures across digital assets, investing, fintech and financial services, Kelly is responsible for recruiting world-class speakers, shaping conference agendas and curating content that is insightful, practical and relevant.

Her focus is on creating programmes that educate, inspire and deliver genuine value for attendees, while ensuring each event reflects the latest trends and developments across the financial landscape. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, spending time with family and making the most of weekends on the water.

Matthew Ede

Event Director

Matthew Ede is the Event Director of CryptoCon and MyMoney Expo, where he leads event strategy, commercial partnerships, sponsorships, and audience growth. Over the past several years, he has helped grow CryptoCon into the largest crypto and digital assets event in the Southern Hemisphere while expanding the company’s portfolio into broader finance and investing through MyMoney Expo.

Passionate about creating events that connect businesses with engaged consumers and deliver meaningful commercial outcomes, Matthew works closely with leading financial institutions, fintechs, investment platforms, and industry leaders to help brands grow while giving attendees access to trusted education, expert insights, and the tools they need to make more informed financial decisions. Outside of work, he enjoys travelling, socialising with friends & family, and keeping active.

Adam Campbell

Operations Director

Adam Campbell is Operations Director at CryptoCon and MyMoney Expo. He works across strategic planning, operational systems and event delivery, helping turn ideas into practical outcomes. Throughout CryptoCon’s growth, his experience has included partnerships, KOL and affiliate relationships, community management, speaker management, sponsor and exhibitor operations, and helping build many of the systems behind the event.

With a background in banking and finance since 2011 and crypto since 2016, Adam has extensive experience working with leading exchanges, crypto companies, KOLs and communities. He is known for bringing the right people together and understanding what creates value for businesses and attendees. A creative thinker, Adam also enjoys exploring AI and emerging technology. 

Ethan Wrede

Business Development Manager

Ethan Wrede is Business Development Manager at MyMoney Expo, bringing over nine years of experience launching and growing events. He works closely with financial brands, investment platforms and emerging businesses to develop partnerships that connect them with relevant audiences and support their growth.

Focused on understanding what success looks like for each business, Ethan helps exhibitors and sponsors turn their participation into opportunities to generate leads, build relationships and strengthen brand awareness. He enjoys bringing people together and finding creative ways for businesses to showcase what they do, while helping attendees discover services and ideas that support their financial goals.

Tara McMahon

Marketing & Partnerships Coordinator

Tara is the Marketing & Partnerships Coordinator behind CryptoCon & MyMoney Expo, bringing together marketing, partnerships and content to help the brand show up strongly across every touchpoint. With a background in marketing and psychology, she loves creating campaigns with partners, shaping content that feels aligned with the brand, and helping ideas turn into clear, engaging marketing activity. Creative, people-focused, and calm under pressure, Tara thrives when plenty is happening and enjoys keeping momentum going behind the scenes. For Tara, there’s nothing better than seeing a campaign come together and watching the CryptoCon brand come through in every piece of content.

When she’s not working on campaigns, partner activity or content plans, you’ll usually find her chasing a sunrise at the beach, staying active, or planning her next great meal as a foodie at heart.

Katie Hobbs

Content Producer

Katie is the Content Producer at CryptoCon & MyMoney Expo, where she leads the creative production behind the brand’s visual identity and digital presence. From video production and graphic design to social media, event branding and signage, she creates content and creative assets that bring the event experience to life before, during and after each event.

Passionate about visual storytelling and creating memorable brand experiences, Katie enjoys turning ideas into engaging content that connects with audiences and captures the energy of every event. She works across every stage of the creative process, ensuring each touchpoint feels consistent, engaging and true to the CryptoCon and MyMoney Expo brand.

Outside of work, she’s usually saving inspiration she’ll probably never look at again, refining designs that were already finished, or finding the small details that bring creative ideas to life.

Liv McDonald

Event Operations Coordinator

Liv is the Event Operations Coordinator behind CryptoCon, helping bring every part of the event together from the ground up. From floorplans and exhibitor logistics to venue operations and contractor coordination, she loves making sure every detail is in place so the event runs as smoothly as possible. She enjoys finding practical solutions, improving processes and making sure nothing gets overlooked. For Liv, there’s nothing better than seeing months of planning come together when the doors finally open.

When she’s not planning events, you’ll usually find her coaching calisthenics, getting stuck into creative projects, spending time with her cavoodle, Henry, or convincing herself another spreadsheet is the answer to life’s problems.
